✨ Where We Stayed: Sandos Finisterra

From the moment we walked into Sandos Finisterra, we were completely captivated.

Perched on a cliffside overlooking the Pacific Ocean and just minutes from the Cabo marina, the resort offers some of the most stunning panoramic views you’ll ever see. The combination of dramatic rock formations, crashing waves, and luxury amenities creates an atmosphere that feels both peaceful and elevated.

But what truly stood out was the service. Every staff member went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed, taken care of, and completely relaxed from start to finish.

The views from Sandos Finisterra

🌅 Day 1: Arrival, Ocean Views & Fire on the Beach

Our trip began with just a few of us—Jeff, myself, Shawn, and Becky—ready to kick off what we knew would be an unforgettable week.

After checking in and taking in those breathtaking views, we headed to Agave Restaurant for lunch. Fresh flavors, great service, and the perfect introduction to the resort’s dining options.

That evening, we experienced one of the resort’s highlights: the fire show dinner on the beach. Dining with your feet in the sand, ocean waves in the background, and live fire performers lighting up the night—it was the perfect way to ease into vacation mode.

We enjoyed the fire show and white night

🎉 Day 2: Downtown Cabo & A 50th Birthday to Remember

Day two was all about celebrating Becky’s 50th birthday—and we made sure it was done right.

We started the morning at Don Diego’s buffet, which offered a wide variety of breakfast options to fuel us for a full day ahead.

From there, we headed into downtown Cabo, spending the day exploring the marina, shopping, and bar hopping. The energy downtown is unmatched—lively, colorful, and full of personality.

One of our favorite stops? Uno Más—a must-visit if you’re in the area.

Later in the day, we reunited with the rest of our group—Chris, Monse, and Lauren—back at the resort. They got settled in and enjoyed lunch at Agave while we relaxed poolside and caught up.

That evening, we had dinner reservations at RosaNegro, and it completely exceeded expectations. From the upscale atmosphere to the incredible service, every detail was perfect. The fire show, music, and high-energy celebration made it the ultimate birthday dinner experience.

We ended the night back at the resort at the Stone Club, dancing and enjoying casino night (just for fun). It was the perfect mix of elegance and excitement.

☀️ Day 3: Slowing Down & Soaking It All In

After a full day of celebrating, day three was all about relaxation.

While Chris and Monse had their own plans, the rest of us—Becky, Shawn, Lauren, Jeff, and I—spent the day exploring more of the resort and truly soaking in everything Sandos Finisterra has to offer.

We enjoyed both lunch and dinner at the Tortuga Beach Club, which quickly became one of our favorite spots. Great food, beachfront views, and a relaxed atmosphere—it was exactly what we needed.

That evening was Cirque Night at the resort, but after several busy days, we chose to rest and recharge.

🍹 Day 4: Tequila Tasting & A Private Yacht Experience

Day four was one of the highlights of the entire trip.

We started with a tequila tasting, which is an absolute must when visiting Cabo. It was fun, interactive, and gave us a deeper appreciation for the culture and craftsmanship behind it.

Then came the real adventure—our private yacht excursion to the Arch of Cabo.

We booked our yacht through Viator (I’ll be linking the exact experience we used), and it was seamless from start to finish. The views from the water were unreal—seeing the famous Arch up close, cruising along the coastline, and just enjoying the open ocean with friends.

If you’re planning a Cabo trip, I highly recommend adding a yacht day to your itinerary. It’s one of those experiences that takes your trip to the next level.

We wrapped up the evening with dinner back at the resort. That night was Michael Jackson Night, and while we turned in early, our group said it was an incredible show—complete with live performances and dancers interacting with the crowd.

The yacht trip was so fun!

🏜️ Day 5: Baja Adventures & Cabo Nightlife

We kicked off day five with an adrenaline rush—a UTV tour through the Baja desert.

We booked through a company in the resort lobby, and while the experience itself was fun and the views were incredible, I would personally recommend going through Cabo Adventures for a more polished and organized experience.

That said, racing through the desert terrain and taking in those scenic views was something we’ll never forget.

That evening, we enjoyed an amazing Italian dinner at Emiliano’s back at the resort—easily one of the best meals of the trip.

We also caught the resort’s Fiesta Night show, which was absolutely beautiful—full of culture, music, and energy that really showcased the spirit of Mexico.

But we weren’t done yet…

We headed back out into Cabo to experience the real nightlife, hitting multiple clubs and fully embracing the energy of the city until 2 AM. Cabo at night is truly in a league of its own.

After our UTV tour

✈️ Day 6: Goodbye (For Now)

As all great trips do, ours came to an end far too quickly.

We left the resort by 9 AM, heading back to the airport with full hearts, amazing memories, and already talking about when we’d come back.
Because Cabo isn’t just a place you visit once—it’s a place you return to.
